There were four (4) municipalities including Marsaskala. These were Chojna-Poland, Merseen-Netherlands, Bad Kotzting-Germany. Marsaskala hosted the project styled Understanding of Europe and a stronger connection with fellow Europeans. There were around 40 participants including the Maltese.
Project was very beneficial.
All participants integrated together from day one. Cultural activities were on top of the agenda apart from the very interesting discussions during our workshops.
Speakers were also invited during the programme which took place at Grabiel Tents. Mr Robert Micallef a candidate for the European Union election, Mr Andrea Camilleri from MEUSEC ( Malta EU Steering and action Committee) and Ms Elaine Obrecth from the Asylum Support Office-EASO.
Delivery of the speeches were of a top level. All participants asked questions and were replied accordingly.
Participants were divided in groups and discussed very important issues. Top of the agenda was the immigration problem and the problem Malta faced and is still facing.
Since project took place during Good Friday, there were a lot of exhibitions related to the biggest feast of the church. Resurrection of Christ. We as the host organised some tours to Zebbug and Rabat. Participants were also served by traditional Maltese food. We visited churches and even religious procession in the narrow streets of the old capital city Mdina in Rabat.

Feed back of all participants was so positive. This was a great satisfaction for us since we felt that project was so beneficial to us all.
We do thank the European Union for such an initiative and we look forward to participate in future projects.
